Aloha Friends and Ohana,

It's that time of year again for the best surfing event in Hawaii! The Hui O Pohaku Park - Keiki O Ke Kai, 8th Annual S-Turns Longboard Surfing Classic, Sunday, February 14th, 2010. The Hui is very proud to put on this event for the keiki's of Maui to help in perpetuating the ancient sport of Hawaiian Kings, the art of He'e Nalu or Wave Sliding. This free event has a very important place in our island community and Hawaiian culture to help the Keiki O Ke Kai, Children of the Sea carry on the tradition of surfing in its purest form.

This event charges no contest entry fee and is a no drugs, no smoking and no alcohol event and is primarily sponsored by the Hui and our Ohana. This event is not your typical "Contest" and is not focused on "competition", but is more about teaching the keiki the TRUE meaning of surfing, which is to have fun with your friends and family.

This event would not be possible without the help of our Ohana and their generous contributions to make this one of the best surfing events in Hawaii.

The Hui is humbly asking for your kokua in making this contest another great success for OUR keiki's.

Any and all prizes and/or food donated are greatly appreciated, to help make this year's event an even bigger success.

If you would like to donate a surfboard, your logo will be prominently displayed on the contest t-shirt and on our website. Your logo must be supplied to the Hui representative no later than 20 days before the contest. It would also be great if the company representative could be present to give the surfboard away.

Monetary donations are being accepted at any First Hawaiian Bank under S-Turn Surf Club.
